I'd love to see a map of the virtual route and wonder how often you imagined the virtual global geography as you ran through local geography (hope that makes sense/. I've been missing your posts - I haven't received an email notification in a long time - turns out an issue on my end that is now fixed. But really am over reliance on email notification on my part. Thanks for continuing to blog and for sharing your adventures outside of Facebook etc. I read your 2021 wrap up post and working through the ones I missed. Congrats on your second virtual NYC marathon too. Very inspiring :) Keep on running and blogging and being you. Cheers. Seth. This stretch was great--woodsy, with a high bridge crossing over Pilchuk Creek at the 2.5 mile turnaround. I expect I'll run a longer stretch soon--maybe Arlington and back. Smokey Point to Seattle can get that way too now. I have neighbors who do the commute from Mount Vernon, but they tend to leave before 6 AM sometime. I find it aggravating when we run into slowdowns on the weekend, but still I end up down there too often, for this and that. I'm thinking Ghost. All this said, I actually like this course route for the marathon. The first four miles go north on the a closed down I-5 expressway, giving some great views over Lake Union. Finishing over Aurora Bridge also has great views. Sections of the Burke Gilman are kind of boring for getting miles in, but not much different than the latter part of the return from Seward Park. As much as I'd love to return, working in the same field would have me working in Seattle, but having to live well out of Seattle. Given the COL and the commute have only gotten worse a return, at this point in time, is highly unlikely. It's a bummer the Seattle marathon course has changed so drastically. Maybe you need to run the Ghost or, as you mentioned, find other races that weekend in other locales.Tim Loftonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06166492080177448831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4695295435066427359.post-40561515362121526072019-09-05T16:34:43.457-07:002019-09-05T16:34:43.457-07:00Worst Northern Lights photo ever.Worst Northern Lights photo ever.Scottyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15346029004509730578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4695295435066427359.post-35994512363646700672019-08-30T17:07:10.877-07:002019-08-30T17:07:10.877-07:00I remember you two there, at least on one of the y...I remember you two there, at least on one of the years I ran.
